How to Get Involved & Support SOPD
Become a Coach
At SOPD we truly appreciate all our coaches. Inside you can read some of their stories, giving you insight into what becoming a coach at SOPD means. In many cases we have guided our coaches to the appropriate training qualifications and hope that each of them gets out of the experience at least as much as they put in.
Volunteer at SOPD
Our volunteer opportunities include sport coaching, mini-bus driving, fundraising, volunteer co-ordination and more. Whatever the role, each and every volunteer makes a significant contribution, the combined impact of which truly changes lives.
Fundraise for SOPD!
We raise funds in all the usual ways, craft stalls at fairs, coffee mornings, quiz nights, barn dances, race nights, bag packs at supermarkets. Special Olympics Plymouth and District currently relies on individual, corporate, trusts and public donations and this support is crucial to our successful growth and development over the next several years.
